The Medical Doctors of St. John's is actively seeking a dedicated hospitalist to become part of their esteemed team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the healthcare sector while enjoying the vibrant lifestyle of California.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care at a leading health center.
- Manage an average of 15-17 patients during each 12-hour shift.
- Collaborate with a team of 7-8 hospitalists during day shifts.
- Participate in night shifts with a smaller team of 1-2 hospitalists.
- Engage in concurrent rounding and admitting shifts, with options for swing admitting shifts.
- Work in a closed ICU with 24/7 in-house coverage for rapid responses and emergencies.
- Lead primary medicine hospitalist services alongside post-operative surgical co-management.
- Fulfill an annual shift requirement of 183 shifts (12 hours each).
- Encourage early to mid-career candidates to consider available positions.
- Hold a degree from an accredited medical school.
- Complete an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program.
- Possess an active or eligible California medical license.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with primary care providers, specialists, and hospital staff, as well as patients and their families.
Compensation
The compensation package ranges from $270,322 to $361,204 annually. This starting salary may include productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, hospital/ED call stipends, and additional cash compensation as applicable. Providers typically receive a CME allowance and a variety of benefits offered by their medical group employer.
