About the Role
Jones Street Residential, a leading real estate investment sponsor, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our multifamily properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to Service Requests
- Respond to service requests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring that all assigned requests are completed successfully and promptly.
- Prepare Vacant Units
- Ensure vacant units are prepared for occupancy by completing a range of tasks, such as painting, carpentry, general repairs, and other activities as needed.
- Work Efficiently
- Work at a fast pace without impacting quality, ensuring enough time for other maintenance personnel to complete their functions in the make-ready process.
- Perform Repairs
- Repairs holes in walls, caulk cracks around windows and doors, repair any falling ceiling texture, patch any cracks in ceiling, and fixing and texturing any wall and ceiling patches.
- Maintain Work Order System
- Maintain the accuracy of the work order system, logging all actions and supplies needed to complete each request.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service
- Develop a rapport with residents by providing superior customer service.
- Perform Other Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.
- On-Call Responsibilities
- Rotating on-call responsibility for emergencies during off-hours (nights and weekends).
Requirements
- Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in residential, commercial, or mechanical maintenance.
- Skills
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues relating to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.
- Excellent time management skills, can easily conform to shifting priorities and timelines.
- Certifications
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
