Job Description
The Certified Behavior Analyst Specialist will be responsible for providing overall behavioral supports to clients and staff. This includes documenting behavioral services, monitoring, assessing, intervening, and training staff on behavioral supports, proactive strategies, triggers, staff interventions, replacement behaviors, etc.
The specialist will also maintain a system for collecting objective data regarding the skills and needs of clients served, complete functional assessments annually, and develop BSPs that meet all standards and address each client's needs.
Responsibilities

- Providing direct monitoring, assessment, intervention, and staff training
- Maintaining a system for collecting objective data
- Completing functional assessments annually
- Developing BSPs that meet all standards
- Seeking input and maintaining effective communication with IDT and supervisor
- Modifying BSPs annually
- Attending agency, departmental, and client-specific meetings
- Conducting departmental training as directed
- Maintaining client confidentiality
- Reporting any suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation
- Maintaining good attendance throughout employment
- Complying with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to train staff
- Ability to interpret behavioral-related data, develop, and implement plans
- Knowledge of human behavior
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- State-certified as a BCBA or BCABA or Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analyst, Psychology, Social Work, or Licensure as a counselor with coursework in human behavior, developing behavioral treatment plans, and at least 2 years of experience providing behavioral supports to people with intellectual disabilities
