Compensation:

$62.00 per hour

COMHAR's Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) provides essential support to children, adolescents, and young adults facing mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Our services are delivered in various environments, including home, school, and community settings, with a strong emphasis on engaging families throughout the therapeutic process.

Role Summary:

The psychologist will deliver assessment and therapeutic services to clients, oversee treatment planning and objectives, and offer guidance and supervision to designated staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct evaluation services for clients in line with organizational, regulatory, and insurance standards. This may involve client interviews, consultations with family and educational professionals, and the application of standardized psychological assessment instruments.
  2. Provide consultation services by engaging with individuals who have significant relationships with the client, including family members, mental health or medical treatment teams, educational staff, and legal or social service representatives.
  3. Deliver psychotherapy aimed at enhancing clients' emotional well-being and adaptive functioning, which may encompass individual, group, and family counseling.
  4. Ensure timely and precise documentation of all client interactions.
  5. Maintain accurate records of service invoices.
  6. Adhere to the professional licensure standards applicable in the state of practice.
  7. Follow the ethical guidelines established by the American Psychological Association, regardless of membership status.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Engage in team meetings to contribute insights and direction regarding treatment goals and methodologies, either in person or through proxy.
  2. Provide clinical supervision to assigned staff as requested by the Director of Children's Services.
  3. Offer resources to the treatment team and the Director of Children's Services.
  4. Consult on needs assessments and facilitate staff training.
  5. Participate in mandatory in-service training programs as required by the organization and regulatory bodies, including documentation of an additional 10 hours of in-service training.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral Degree from an accredited psychology program.
  • Independent licensure as a psychologist in good standing.
  • A minimum of two years of paid experience in providing mental health or addiction services to children and adolescents.
  • Maintain current professional liability insurance as mandated by the organization and regulatory bodies.
  • Membership in at least one professional organization focused on psychology or child/adolescent mental health.
  • Possess a valid Pennsylvania psychology license in good standing.
  • Clearances for Child Abuse (Act 33), Criminal History, and FBI, as applicable.
  • Completion of all mandatory in-service training within three months of hire and annually thereafter.
  • Documented participation in at least ten hours of additional in-service training per year.
