Apprentice Pastry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Team Member to join our team at Giant Eagle. As a Bakery Team Member, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of products, including bread, pastries, and desserts.

• Prepare and bake products according to established recipes and procedures.
• Operate bakery equipment, including mixers, ovens, and proofers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the bakery, storage areas, and equipment.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking ingredients and supplies.
• Provide excellent customer service, including answering questions and making recommendations to customers.
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet production and sales goals.

• 0-6 months of experience in a bakery or related industry.
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
