Job Description: Pool Guardian

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago is seeking a skilled and dedicated Pool Guardian to oversee the safety and well-being of our members in the aquatics area.

Estimated Salary: $18.50 per hour

About the Job

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the pool and aquatic facility are safe and secure for all participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and guard the pool and aquatic facility
  • Examine injured persons and administer first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, if necessary
  • Rescue distressed persons using rescue techniques and equipment
  • Contact emergency medical personal in case of serious injury
  • Actively participate in obtaining further water safety certifications
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Must have reliable, insured private transportation
  • Must pass criminal background check which includes Livescan fingerprints
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination unless an exemption for medical condition or sincerely-held religious belief is granted
