Production Specialist

Job Summary:
Belcan is seeking a Production Specialist to join our team in Mankato, MN. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assisting with grain and meal handling, operating equipment, and maintaining safety and cleanliness of the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with grain and meal handling, including weighing, bagging, packing, unpacking, labeling, and storing products.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of equipment and building through tasks like sweeping and compressed air cleaning.
- Operate equipment involved in loadout and unloading processes for bulk materials, including forklifts, skid-steers, front-end loaders, and semi-automatic packing systems.
- Use computer systems to input and record data related to safety, sanitation, maintenance, and equipment operations.
- Communicate with team members and management to resolve safety concerns and ensure proper operation of equipment.
- Promote a teamwork-focused environment and pursue continuous improvement in facility operations.
- Ensure regular and prompt attendance, in line with company policy.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience operating equipment such as forklifts, loaders, scales, conveyors, and semi-automatic packing systems.
- Strong attention to safety and cleanliness in the work environment.
- Basic computer skills to input and track data related to safety and equipment.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with peers and management.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and equipment operation.
- Regular attendance as required by company policy.
