Medical Care Professional

PatientFirst seeks a highly skilled Medical Care Professional to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and possess strong clinical skills.
Responsibilities- Leverage your expertise to provide top-notch patient care, including vital sign collection, triaging, and preparing patients for medical treatment.
- Utilize the electronic medical record system to streamline patient data management.
- Order lab, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed by physicians and nurses.
- Notify nursing staff and physicians when patients are ready for examination, while communicating symptoms and relaying questions about lab or x-ray needs.
- Assist nurses and physicians with various patient treatments and care activities.
- Handle requests from physicians and nurses with respect and in a timely manner.
- Perform lab duties, phlebotomy procedures, and sterilization tasks as assigned.
- Receiving and storing supplies, restocking treatment rooms as needed.
- Report to the Charge Nurse before leaving at the end of the shift.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures, maintaining cleanliness of the treatment area and completing biological cleanup according to OSHA guidelines.
- Wash, dry, fold, and restock laundry; maintain washing machine and dryer lint trap cleanliness.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum typing experience required.
- High school graduate or equivalent necessary.
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician's office preferred.
- Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system essential.
- Capacity to sit, stand, and walk for long periods (possibly 4-7 hours) required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Will to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills.
- Able to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Willingness to work at any center due to staffing or emergency situations.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification by the Maryland Board of Nursing required.
