Job Overview

Phiston Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Technician to join our team. As an Electromechanical Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling used in the manufacture of Destruction Devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform PLC ladder logic programming and create schematics for electro/mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with various types of power sources (e.g. AC, DC, single/three-phase) and follow assembly instructions, specifications, and schematics.
  • Electrical Assembly and repair: Perform soldering and wiring tasks to assemble and repair electrical components.
  • Knowledge and experience in operating all types of hand and power tools while adhering to safety instructions.
  • Use appropriate supplied measuring devices, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other similar test equipment.
  • Resolve assembly problems that may require altering dimensions or tolerances.
  • Perform any other company-related tasks as required, such as Service Calls performed remotely and guiding customers through troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
  • Ability to complete a project following project drawings and specifications.
  • Maintain and modify routine programs, test and document program modifications, and develop operator instructions.
  • Review objectives and assignment details with higher-level staff to ensure thorough understanding.

Requirements

  • Postsecondary technical degree or certification and/or experience in job-relevant related field(s) with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as an Electromechanical Technician, preferably in aerospace or a similar high-precision industry.
  • Experience with wiring, prototype, and production assemblies.
  • 2-3 experience with PLC programming.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including soldering and wiring.
  • Must be prepared to work flexible hours and schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and communicational skills.
