Purpose and Scope:

The Electromechanical Technician will be tasked with setting up, repairing, and preventive maintenance of equipment and tooling used in the manufacture of Destruction Devices. This hands-on position requires a high level of proficiency in electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and controls. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.

Responsibilities/ Duties – Duties and activities that constitute the performance of the job

  • Perform PLC ladder logic programming.
  • Create schematics for electro/mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with various types of power sources (e.g. AC, DC, single/three-phase).
  • Follow assembly instructions, specifications, and schematics.
  • Electrical Assembly and repair: Perform soldering and wiring tasks to assemble and repair electrical components
  • Knowledge and experience in operating all types of hand and power tools while adhering to safety instructions.
  • Use appropriate supplied measuring devices, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other similar test equipment.
  • Resolve assembly problems that may require altering dimensions or tolerances.
  • Perform any other company-related tasks as required, such as Service Calls performed remotely and guiding customers through troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
  • Ability to complete a project following project drawings and specifications.
  • Maintain and modify routine programs, test and document program modifications, and develop operator instructions.
  •  Review objectives and assignment details with higher-level staff to ensure thorough understanding.


Background/ Experience – Minimum required job experience to adequately perform the duties defined

  • Postsecondary technical degree or certification and/or experience in job-relevant related field(s) with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as an Electromechanical Technician, preferably in aerospace or a similar high-precision industry
  • Experience with wiring, prototype, and production assemblies.
  • 2-3 experience with PLC programming
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including soldering and wiring
  • Must be prepared to work flexible hours and schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment,
  • Strong organizational and communicational skills.
