Role Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Senior Biostatistician to join our dynamic team. This role offers exceptional opportunities for professional growth and engagement in a variety of collaborative medical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of statistical leadership on research studies, including designing the study framework, formulating the analysis plan, and executing statistical programming and data management tasks.
- Supervise and mentor junior quantitative scientists in data preparation and analytic file creation, fostering their development in collaborative research.
- Lead statistical initiatives that involve evaluating statistical software or methodologies, as well as developing innovative methods as required for QSU projects.
- Engage with clinical and laboratory investigators to independently design studies and create comprehensive analysis plans, refining research questions and hypotheses through direct collaboration.
- Prepare and present findings for meetings with collaborators and for publication in medical or statistical journals. Additionally, develop educational materials on statistical methods for training purposes.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively at an advanced level.
- Proficiency in multiple statistical programming languages, including SAS and R.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Expertise in descriptive analysis, data modeling, and graphical representation.
- Strong background in statistical methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least two years of experience in a collaborative quantitative scientist role.
- SAS certification.
- Experience in supervising technical staff, including training and mentoring.
- Proven experience in developing and writing grant proposals.
