About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of engineers responsible for building and maintaining our media and near-real-time event ingestion and analytics systems.

Requirements
  • At least 2+ years of experience in leadership roles with a proven track record of leading developers.
  • Proven experience in rapid, continuous releases and shipping multiple times a day.
  • 10+ years of experience with software backend systems, architectures, and infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of experience with data architecture, data processing tools, and reporting technologies.
  • History of building highly scalable distributed systems and processes in a cloud environment.
  • Proven experience designing scalable reporting data stores.
  • Experience with Golang, Docker, and AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, RDS, Redshift, and Glue.
  • Experience with relational and time-series databases, eventing, and data streaming.
  • Experience building scalable internal and public-facing APIs and integrating third-party APIs.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Personal interest in the e-commerce or content creation industry.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms beyond AWS.
  • Experience with big data technologies and data lakes.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
