Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in New York. The successful candidate will work in partnership with our field leadership team to ensure we are delivering a safe, high-quality, and profitable project to our clients. The Project Manager will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with the client and ensuring the project is completed on time and under budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct the project team by providing the communication, coordination, and follow-up necessary to meet project goals and objectives.
  • Maintain ongoing training and mentoring of project team members.
  • Directly responsible to senior management.
  • Provide ongoing project information and project reviews as required by management.
  • Coordinate training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed.
  • Ensure scope of work, schedule, and budget are clearly defined and understood by senior management and all project participants, including the client.
  • Determine controls and maintain overall project and discipline schedules and budgets.
  • Track schedule and budget progress with project milestones and take all necessary action to keep the project on track.
  • Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget, and/or schedule.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the client, making adjustments as necessary to comply with clients' needs within contractual obligations, or just adjusting project deliverables to meet the client and stakeholders' needs.
  • Follow and ensure conformance with OHL North America policies and procedures, including safety policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field/equivalent experience.
  • Heavy Civil Construction background with 10+ year's field experience - Bridge experience a plus.
  • Experience managing multiple Project Engineers.
  • Safety-oriented – 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA certificates are preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to function as a team builder/player.
  • The ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
  • NYC DOT and MTA experience strongly preferred.

Compensation

The base salary being offered for this position is USD $175,000 per year to USD $200,000 per year. Please note that the salary range listed is specific to the role listed in New York. Salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on various factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, and performance.
