Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at Archbold Medical Center. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by analyzing and interpreting microscopic images of cells and tissues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and prepare specimens for screening and analysis
  • Report results accurately and timely to ensure effective patient care
  • Troubleshoot processes to maintain daily workflow and ensure quality assurance
  • Collect and handle statistical data to monitor quality assurance and implement new technical procedures
  • Respond to physicians and nurses when consulted to provide expert advice and guidance
  • Orient new employees to ensure a smooth transition and effective onboarding
Requirements
  • B.S. Degree in Cytotechnology or related physical or biological sciences
  • Certification in Cytotechnology from a CAHEA accredited school or other organization approved by HHS
  • Certification by ASCP or other nationally recognized certification agency
  • Competency assessment and continuing education in laboratory sciences required throughout employment
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a Cytotechnologist required
