We are seeking a highly skilled Abandoned Property Specialist to join our team at Randstad USA. As an Abandoned Property Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our abandoned property research and processing.
Key Responsibilities- Research and Compliance: Conduct thorough research on shareholder returned mail, including first and second notice letters, third-party locater searches, and access pertinent Vanguard records to identify errors. Ensure compliance with all SEC guidelines and regulations.
- Account Restriction and Removal: Establish and/or remove all Returned from Post Office (RPO) restrictions by conducting searches in compliance with SEC guidelines and unit procedures. Maintain accurate records for RPO accounts that are potentially escheatable as dictated by applicable state laws and SEC guidelines.
- Check Verification and Processing: Verify, review, and process all returned checks within 24 hours in accordance with Abandoned Property Unit procedures.
- Trend Analysis and Improvement: Identify, analyze, and document trends. Recommend improvements to workflow efficiencies and develop necessary action steps to prevent reoccurrences.
- Client Communication: Demonstrate excellent call control skills and above-average client relationship skills when making or receiving calls from internal and external clients. Provide shareholders with prompt, courteous, and accurate information in both telephone and written correspondence.
- Team Support: Assist other team members and be supportive in both group and one-on-one settings.
- Education: Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience: One to two years of business experience, with customer service experience preferred.
- Skills: Demonstrated PC skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Ability to work in a high-volume situation with time constraints. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management and research skills.
- Availability: Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week as business volumes require. Must be available for initial training sessions. Shift hours are available Monday through Friday.
