A Nuclear Medicine Technologist to Join Our Team
About Us:
Our Medical Center in Mobile, AL is seeking a skilled professional to fill a critical role. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring the safety of staff and patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparing radiopharmaceuticals orally or by injection or inhalation.
- Explaining procedures to patients and ensuring their comfort during scanning.
- Operating PET and SPECT scans, processing images on various body parts, and monitoring patient reactions.
- Maintaining accurate records of radiopharmaceutical usage and procedures.
- Producing computer-generated images for physician interpretation and following safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
- Maintaining medical machines and imaging equipment, staying updated on field developments, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Requirements:
- ARRT (N) or CNMT certification required.
- Two years of experience preferred.
- Passing a pre-employment drug screening and providing valid vaccination or medical exemption documents.
