Our diverse team, which includes licensed physical therapists, certified athletic trainers, and skilled support personnel, values the unique contributions of each member in enhancing the patient experience. We pride ourselves on fostering a friendly, compassionate, and welcoming atmosphere that reflects our commitment to all employees.

We are in search of a part-time Healthcare Scribe/Physician Assistant to operate in Morris County for 3 to 4 days a week. The ideal candidate will possess a vibrant personality and the ability to stay organized in a dynamic setting. While an Athletic Trainer background is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Documentation:
    • Efficiently and accurately record patient histories, symptoms, physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans as directed by the healthcare provider.
    • Update and maintain the Electronic Health Record (EHR) with pertinent patient data, test results, and follow-up instructions.
    • Transcribe orders for laboratory tests, medications, and referrals as required.
  • Workflow Coordination:
    • Assist healthcare providers in managing and prioritizing patient workflow effectively.
    • Ensure that all patient charts are complete and finalized by the end of each day.
    • Collaborate with other staff members to facilitate the smooth operation of the clinic or department.
  • Communication:
    • Engage in effective communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare personnel to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
    • Convey relevant information to healthcare providers as necessary during patient interactions.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality:
    • Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations consistently.
    • Follow all policies and procedures regarding documentation and record-keeping.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or completion of a medical scribe certification program.
  • Experience:
    • Experience in a medical or clinical environment is preferred.
    • Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and the healthcare system is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient typing and computer skills, with experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately transcribe information.
    • Good organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to perform well under pressure and in challenging situations.
