The Restaurant Operations Leader is a key leader responsible for driving excellence in day-to-day operations, training, coaching, and supporting managers to achieve business results and franchise partnership. This role requires a proven leader with expertise in back-of-house systems, operations tools, and a solid understanding of restaurant profit and loss statements and reports.
The Day-to-Day:
- Build People Capability:
- Recruit and equip the best operators in the world to deliver great customer experiences
- Build a healthy and robust bench of developed and capable Managers
- Hold Area Coaches accountable for people, customers, sales, and profit targets
- Deliver a Consistent Customer Experience:
- Provides leadership for each manager in the market to ensure customer satisfaction
- Leverage customer programs to coach and improve on execution opportunities
- Train, coach, and hold accountable Area Coaches and Restaurant Managers for executing the Taco Bell Operating System and delivering Brand Standards, including food safety
- Grow the Brand, Sales, and Profits:
- Partners with each Manager in the market to build sales over last year's sales achievement
- Training and operations execution of marketing promotions
- Train and coach Area Coaches how to teach RGMs to use the tools and processes to improve restaurant financial results
Job Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree preferred with 5-7 years experience as a proven leader in quick-service restaurants or with a franchisor working with franchise operators
- Advanced degrees are considered in lieu of experience
- 3 years of Taco Bell experience is preferred, and/or 5 years of multi-unit management is mandatory
- Operational Mastery:
- Expertise in back-of-house systems, operations tools, and a solid understanding of restaurant profit and loss statements and reports
- Tech-Savvy:
- Proficient in scheduling, forecasting, and projections systems
- Communication Skills:
- Strong communicator and excellent problem solver
- Data-Driven:
- Ability to leverage data to build capabilities and drive the right actions
- Conflict Resolution:
- Skilled at handling and resolving conflicts effectively
- Coaching & Mentoring:
- Outstanding at coaching, mentoring, and following up to ensure success
