Career Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist at UCHealth

The Respiratory Therapist plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care, particularly for individuals with chronic lung disease. This position requires a strong ability to assess patients, collaborate with the healthcare team, and provide education and support to patients and their families.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop effective care plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care and treatment protocols
  • Serve as a resource for staff members, providing guidance on program development, clinical practice, and professional growth
  • Develop educational materials and facilitate support groups for patients and families

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy or a related field
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • State licensure if required by law
  • 1 year of experience as a registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

About the Role:

This full-time position is available on the Anschutz Campus in Aurora, CO. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Compensation:

The salary for this position ranges from $31.61 to $47.41 per hour, depending on the applicant's relevant experience.
