Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Lignetics Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating mobile equipment, including Volvo 180 wheel loaders, Volvo 220 wheel loaders with top clamp forks, and Caterpillar forest machine track loaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Inspect equipment daily to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks to keep equipment clean and well-maintained.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate paperwork and records.
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and possess good eye-hand-foot coordination.
  • Responsible for other duties assigned by the job.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of prior heavy equipment operation experience.
  • Prior experience on 320D excavators, 988 K Log loaders, and 40/36 Morbark wood chippers is preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for a minimum of 7 hours per day.
  • Required to read and interpret scales.
  • Requires mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to adjust the weight and timing of bailer and various other simple maintenance problems.
  • Requires the ability to do simple math calculations.
