Job Title: Sr. Dynamics Engineer

At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Sr. Dynamics Engineer, you'll be part of our team responsible for ensuring the safety and performance of our Starship and HLS vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Resolve dynamics problems through analysis, testing, and flight data
  • Build finite element and lumped element models of launch vehicle systems
  • Execute dynamic testing from start-to-finish
  • Own system-level analysis and drive hardware modifications or vehicle operations
  • Perform analyses using commercial and in-house codes, as well as write new code
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of professional experience with structural or fluid dynamics
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis or hardware building
  • Experience with fluid system modeling, structural-fluid coupling, and pogo problems
  • Experience with NASTRAN, turbomachinery, combustion dynamics, vibration, and shock testing
