Clinical Pharmacist: Medication Expert

About the RoleThe Clinical Pharmacist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients and healthcare providers. This involves monitoring and evaluating prescribed therapies, promoting optimal drug use, and reducing risks associated with drug misadventures.
Responsibilities- Interact daily with pharmacy teams, nurses, physicians, and other facility staff to resolve conflicts related to drug therapy issues.
- Provide medication information and consultation on pharmacokinetics, dose adjustments, laboratory test orders, and medication monitoring according to established policies and procedures.
- Participate in the training of new pharmacists, pharmacy students, and technicians.
- Bachelor of Science or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Active pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
- One year of acute care hospital experience.

Estimate Salary RangeThe estimated hourly wage range for this position is $58.33 - $75.83 per hour. The actual salary may vary based on specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in similar roles.
