Catholic Medical Center seeks a highly skilled Bariatric Medicine Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing, developing, and recommending treatment plans for patients seeking medical weight loss management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine patients for comprehensive evaluation, including medical history, medication use, psychosocial factors, and behaviors that influence weight history.
  • Perform lab and diagnostic testing as indicated, and evaluate findings with patients as appropriate.
  • Formulate diagnoses and identify medical needs based on evaluations.
  • Recommend and design treatment plans, including pharmaceutical, nutritional, behavioral health, and exercise interventions.
  • Educate patients on plan of care and coordinate with referring physicians, multidisciplinary treatment teams, and specialty services as needed.
  • Monitor treatment effectiveness and modify plans accordingly.
  • Develop protocols, treatment plans, and pathways to promote program growth and delivery of innovative patient care.
  • Provide education to patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams on Medical Weight Loss.
Qualifications
  • MD or DO with completed residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with ABOM certification preferred.
  • General inpatient and/or outpatient Internal Medicine or Family Practice experience, with extensive experience or fellowship training in Obesity Medicine preferred.
