Quality Control Manager - Federal Construction

About the Role

The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, development, and implementation of quality control systems for our projects. This includes facilitating meetings with subcontractors and clients, reviewing and adjusting subcontractor drawings and submittals, and conducting daily quality control inspections.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of quality control systems for projects
  • Facilitate meetings with subcontractors and clients to understand scope of work and develop QC plans
  • Review and adjust subcontractor drawings and submittals for compliance with project specifications
  • Conduct daily quality control inspections and track progress
  • Manage non-conformance notices and requests for information with corrective actions
  • Collaborate with project superintendent and manager to effectively manage and resolve issues
  • Operate RMS software to interface with submittal of daily QC reports and other documentation
  • Coordinate with government project management personnel and subcontractors to ensure proper QC procedures and documentation
  • Create, update, and maintain project submittal logs and quality control reports
  • Ensure high level of internal and external customer service and investigate and correct quality-related issues
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a QA/AC in construction
  • Previous experience with USACE projects preferred
  • Previous experience using RMS software is preferred
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. and gain access to federal and military institutions
  • Strong technical skills with ability to manage critical issues related to quality control
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve effectively, thoroughly, and efficiently as it relates to quality control issues
