Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure customer expectations are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain the QMS, ensuring its effectiveness is continually improved.
  • Manage records for internal quality audits, CAR/PAR program, and management review.
  • Log and track customer complaints, communicating status and corrective action requests.
  • Monitor product compliance to customer requirements, ensuring timely daily duties.
  • Develop and facilitate procedure approval processes and work instructions.
  • Conduct or assist with training classes on customer/QMS-related topics.
  • Communicate the quality policy to all facility personnel.
  • Collect data and generate reports for information boards.
  • Coordinate document and data control processes and calibration programs.
  • Ensure timely quality checks per quality plans.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and maintain staff RAIL.
  • Direct business communication with major customers.
  • Develop, test, monitor, and modify processes for defined cycles.
  • Plan, calculate, prioritize, and coordinate quality testing activities.
  • Document entire planning and development of products.
  • Ensure GMP compliance with customers and industry regulatory requirements.
  • Recommend corrections to problems affecting machine performance, output, or quality.
  • Control non-conforming product processing, delivery, or installation until deficiencies are corrected.
  • Maintain Kaizen improvement log and establish priorities weekly.
  • Ensure each Kaizen event has a project leader, performing duties as specified.
  • Support Kaizen team project leaders in organizing team members, establishing objectives, and action item lists.
  • Attend Kaizen team meetings to ensure focus and task completion.
  • Provide training on Kaizen process to project leaders and ISO-trained operators.
  • Conform to all Quality/Safety Requirements and procedures.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping practices in production areas.
  • Practice proper safety techniques.
  • Participate in the Continual Improvement Process for manufacturing and business processes.
  • Record measurable cost reductions implemented and sustained monthly.
  • Record and report sustained improvement events monthly (including financial savings where applicable).
  • Waste reduction training and awareness.
  • Ensure customer expectations are met and daily duties are performed in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum 6 months of previous work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
