Job Summary:

The Spine and Orthopedic Center is seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe to join our team. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a crucial role in assisting our physicians in documenting patient information, ensuring accurate and timely records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain initial patient information and assist providers in increasing efficiency and report production.
  • Interview patients and obtain medical history, job description, history of injury and treatment, present complaints, and social history.
  • Utilize the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to enter patient data.
  • Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the physician.
  • Electronically fax completed office visit note to various parties, including insurance companies and attorneys.
  • Edit medical reports, create proof of services, and assist with the processing of outgoing reports.
  • Assist with other front and back office tasks.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional written and verbal skills.
  • Proficient in typing and excellent spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining great attention to detail.
  • Reliable and punctual, professional, and willingness to learn.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, as is experience with medical terminology.
