FULL-TIME AREA SUPERVISOR FOR A COMMERCIAL CLEANING COMPANY

This role demands strong leadership, practical judgment, strategic planning, and organizational capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing operational programs, systems, and policies, as well as delegating tasks to cleaning teams.

  • Conduct customer visits as necessary based on complaints or management requests.
  • Oversee operations across a segment of the company's accounts.
  • Collaborate with the operations manager to address customer complaints.
  • Receive and address inspection reports, complaints, and work orders from management, adjusting priorities as needed.
  • Facilitate daily meetings with the operations manager and other supervisors.
  • Perform regular site visits to inspect accounts and address any issues.
  • Communicate with the office from various locations to report on any concerns.
  • Engage in follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize a time management system to coordinate schedules and commitments for yourself and other supervisors.
  • Address deficiencies with cleaning crews on the same day they are identified.
  • Continuously enhance work quality by implementing necessary quality control measures.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role within the cleaning industry.
  • Preferred experience in janitorial or maintenance services.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including 2nd shift.
  • Ability to assist cleaning crews as needed.
  • Experience with high-volume commercial cleaning for retail chains is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of proper floor care techniques.
  • Reliable transportation for travel to various job sites.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills, along with a collaborative work ethic.
  • Capability to interpret and apply company policies effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are preferred.
  • Punctuality in adhering to work schedules and submitting reports is essential.
  • Ability to make immediate decisions and resolve issues with cleaning crews.
