Celebrating Excellence in Landscape Architecture
Celebrating Excellence in Landscape Architecture is a tenure-track position at CELA, the College of Environmental Leadership and Architecture. We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture.
Key Responsibilities- Teach courses in landscape architecture, including design studios, lecture-based, seminar, and professionally-oriented technical courses.
- Conduct research and participate in scholarly activities that advance the field of landscape architecture, with a focus on climate and social justice and urban ecological design.
- Develop and maintain a strong research program, with a focus on impact-driven, creative research and scholarship.
- Engage in service activities, including advising students, assisting with student organizations, and serving on departmental and university committees.
- Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or an allied design and planning discipline.
- Demonstrated evidence of climate justice (or adjacent) research and scholarship.
- Demonstrated teaching expertise in landscape architecture or in a related design and planning discipline.
- Demonstrated evidence of mentorship for emerging designers and/or students with diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated evidence of collaborative and interdisciplinary engagement in research, teaching, and/or professional activities.
- A competitive salary range of $75,000 - $85,000.
- A comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement savings options.
