Electrical Controls Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Technician to join our team at Opportunity Group, Inc. as a key member of our automation team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and troubleshoot PLC's and HMI's
  • Learn PLC programming and design
  • Layout, design, build, wire, install, program and troubleshoot electrical control panels, junction boxes, limit switches, sensors, motors (AC/DC), conduit and other electrical components
  • Wire new machines and equipment with the latest electrical controls and components

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience troubleshooting and modifying PLC's and HMI's
  • At least two years of experience wiring machines
  • Able to read and interpret schematics and blue prints
  • Familiar with electrical codes and standards
  • Able to travel 20%
  • Must be a US Citizen or have a Green Card
