Job Summary

Old Second Bancorp Inc is seeking a highly skilled Loan Servicing Specialist to join our team. As a Loan Servicing Specialist, you will be responsible for the maintenance, payment processing, disbursements, payoff processing, tax and insurance processing, and related loan servicing work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loan Maintenance and Payment Processing: Process payments and disbursing of loan proceeds, review and process payments and functions related to loan payoff, and ensure accuracy of loan set-ups and maintenance.
  • Loan Servicing and Administration: Monitor and process a high volume of loan advances, including construction draws, produce paid loan reporting to the collateral team, and process all incoming mail for the department.
  • Insurance and Tax Escrow Administration: Administer insurance and tax escrow accounts, process force placed insurance, and validate and update ticklers in core related to insurance exceptions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Establish accurate reporting of all volume within the Loan Servicing team, including volumes related to construction draft funding, payoffs processed, reversals, accounts actively escrowed, and agency services processing.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma and two or more years of consumer and/or commercial loan operations, or related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Technical aptitude, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, above average oral, written and communications skills, and ability to work in a hybrid environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: Jack Henry experience.
