Job Title: Business Operations Planner

We are seeking an experienced Business Operations Planner to join our team at Ascent Chemicals in Danville, VA. As a key member of our production planning and material planning process, you will be responsible for creating production schedules and ordering raw materials to ensure timely order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to optimize service, inventory, and cost.
  • Create and issue raw material purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding production schedule and open order status changes.
  • Assist in validating raw material and finished good inventory values and ensure ERP system accuracy.
  • Meet KPIs to support service, working capital, and cost goals.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field of study.
  • 3+ years of applicable Supply Chain experience.
  • Proficiency with common ERP and planning/materials management systems and MS Office, primarily Excel.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects at a time.
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset, comfortable challenging the status quo.
