Job Description:

Rural Electric Inc is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for providing technical engineering information to company supervision and crafts to ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile data and information from technical and accounting sources; perform calculations and summarizations as directed.
  • Inventory, check, examine, and measure materials.
  • Assemble and bind reports, proposals, bids, estimates, schedules, and other documents.
  • Research and recommend resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors.
  • Verify all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings, specifications.
  • Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records, including status reports, punch lists, sketches of work completed, material requirement calculations, and more.
  • Provide technical support and direction of project material control functions, including implementation and operation of maintenance programs.
Requirements:
  • 4-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
  • Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings & specifications, building materials, and required standards applicable to the discipline.
  • Ability to perform trigonometric calculations either manually or with a calculator.
  • Ability to assume responsibility, interface, and communicate effectively with others.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in our home office, with frequent visits to various client/job sites. The physical demands of this role include frequent talking, hearing, seeing, using hands to operate and troubleshoot a computer, and handling objects, tools, or controls. The ability to stand, walk, sit, read, and use computer devices and telephone devices is also required.
