Position Overview:

As a Laboratory Apprentice, you will play a vital role in supporting the analytical laboratory functions through various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with drug screening and standard background checks.
  • Work hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant to laboratory operations.

Note: While comprehensive knowledge in all areas is not mandatory at the hiring stage, it is anticipated that skills will be cultivated through training and hands-on experience in the lab.

  • Familiarity with laboratory tests and analytical procedures.
  • Understanding of laboratory terminology and equipment.
  • Awareness of quality control protocols.
  • Competence in sample handling.
  • Basic mathematical skills for computations.
  • Record-keeping abilities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Integrity and impartiality in reporting results.
  • Proficiency in using a computer (PC) for data entry and spreadsheet creation.
  • Adherence to vendor ordering protocols.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in work.

Education and Experience:

  • A high school diploma or an associate degree (or equivalent) is required. While specific experience is not necessary, prior laboratory experience is preferred.

Note: Equivalent combinations of education and experience that provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities will be assessed on an individual basis.
