About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled X-Ray Tech to join our team at Summit Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient delivery of care and ensure patient safety
  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide instructions to obtain desired results
  • Operate CR/Digital X-ray system and imaging equipment properly and safely
  • Perform Bone Density exams and obtain and document patient history and pertinent information
  • Ensure proper identification of patient and demographics in PACS and clarify/follow Doctor's orders
  • Complete procedures within an acceptable time frame and produce quality diagnostic images
  • Maintain x-ray room cleanliness and adhere to infection control standards
  • Perform QA/QC testing and prioritize and organize work assignments
  • Consult and communicate with other departments in a professional manner
  • Plan delivery of care according to patient activity and staff competencies
  • Familiar with location of emergency equipment and medications
  • Demonstrate awareness of Radiation Safety procedures
  • Assist Radiologist in performing fluoroscopic procedures
  • Ensure equipment is in acceptable condition and follow department standards for reporting equipment malfunctions
  • Follow/Adhere to sterile procedures and verify exams in the PACS system
Requirements
  • Diploma from a vocational/technical school required; Associates degree preferred
  • 0-1 years experience required; 2-4 years preferred
  • ARRT certificate required; Basic Life Support (BLS) required; License NJ Bureau of Radiological Health required
  • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Ability to perform diverse work assignments with time limitations with a high degree of accuracy required
  • Ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skills required
