Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Product Engineering department, you'll play a crucial role in evaluating, reporting, and achieving manufacturability KPIs by collaborating with R&D on optimal product design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and report on manufacturability KPIs, working closely with R&D to optimize product design
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, production control, and engineering to provide product design and concepts that meet General Assembly requirements
  • Use CAD-data to analyze, simulate, and virtually test products to identify risks for high-volume manufacturing
  • Implement ideas to improve exterior product design, ensuring stable processes and minimal rework in series production
  • Take responsibility for communication between production planning assembly and the engineering department as a single point of contact for exterior vehicle design-related topics
Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional experience in manufacturing engineering or production planning (General Assembly), with expertise in achieving stable production processes
  • Deep knowledge of vehicle engineering processes
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or equivalent
  • Skillful at organizational navigation and cross-functional collaboration at all levels, with ability to develop effective partnerships and relationships
  • Creative and strategic problem solver with sound judgment
