Role Summary: The Maintenance Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a designated location and reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance and Support. This role involves managing a team of field technicians dedicated to maintaining, supporting, and installing Material Handling and Automation Equipment across various Maersk facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of approximately 30 field technicians across multiple shifts, ensuring effective coverage and support.
  • Oversee the maintenance and operational uptime of Maersk Warehouse & Distribution Facilities, providing 24/7 support.
  • Maintain inventory levels and conduct audits of spare parts in each facility.
  • Deliver maintenance services that achieve a target of 99.9% uptime.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and mentor field technicians to enhance team performance.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance plan tailored for each facility in the region.
  • Establish maintenance procedures and best practices to ensure operational excellence.
  • Generate weekly regional reports and participate in management meetings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Maersk Operations leaders in the region.
  • Travel within the region as required, up to 30% of the time.

Candidate Profile:

  • In-depth understanding of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) technologies, including conveyors and sortation systems.
  • A proactive manager who can introduce innovative ideas and solutions to support operational efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts effectively to team members.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute daily activities systematically.
  • Experience working in a dynamic 24/7 environment, including availability during holidays and weekends.
  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to engage directly in ensuring equipment functionality.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on innovation and simplification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Well-organized with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical background in HME or Automation, specifically in maintaining conveyor and sortation systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in Engineering Maintenance of conveyor or sortation systems, or related automation equipment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in team management, including staff hiring and development.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and parts inventory management.
  • Familiarity with leading brands such as Hytrol, TGW, Wynright, FMH, Cognex, Intelligrated, Dematic, or similar.
  • Experience with WCS or WES systems and electrical systems is advantageous.
