This role is crucial in delivering Cardi's exceptional customer satisfaction by ensuring that furniture is assembled and prepared with meticulous attention to quality and detail.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $18.00
Position Summary
The primary objective is to excel daily by providing outstanding service and value to every customer.
A Warehouse Furniture Assembly Associate is tasked with achieving positive results for customers, team members, the company, and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
To successfully perform this role, an individual must be capable of fulfilling each essential duty effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Prepare and assemble products accurately within designated zones in the warehouse, utilizing appropriate equipment and material-handling techniques to minimize damage.
- Review delivery reports for special instructions and ensure compliance with processing guidelines.
- Unbox and unwrap products carefully, employing proper techniques to avoid damage.
- Inspect merchandise for manufacturing defects and report any issues to management.
- Assemble items for delivery according to manufacturer and company guidelines, ensuring all components are correctly installed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace, including proper disposal of packing materials.
- Verify that all products for delivery are accounted for and prepared for dispatch.
- Assist in training new associates and participate in training sessions to enhance personal skills.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a secure working environment.
Qualifications
To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math and reasoning abilities.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and equipment.
- Basic carpentry skills are advantageous.
Work Environment
This position is performed in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure. The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
Experience
No prior experience is required, although related experience or training is preferred.
Education
A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory.
