Job SummaryWe're looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our investment efforts in the lower middle-market space. As a Principal and/or Vice President, you'll be responsible for originating, structuring, and closing private equity transactions. Your expertise will be essential in identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities, developing financial forecasting models, and presenting investment candidates to our Investment Committee.
Key Responsibilities- Originate and qualify potential private equity opportunities through industry relationships and market research
- Perform quantitative analysis of financial statements, financial metrics, and sustainability of cash flows
- Develop financial forecasting models for potential investments and author investment memoranda
- Present investment candidates to the Investment Committee and negotiate transaction terms
- Lead due diligence, direct transaction execution, and coordinate transaction closing
- Work with external banks and co-investors to secure investment financing
- Perform post-closing responsibilities, including portfolio company oversight and performance monitoring
- 8+ years of experience in private equity transactions, with a strong understanding of middle market dynamics
- Proven track record of originating, structuring, and closing private equity transactions
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, with a Master's degree preferred
As a Principal and/or Vice President at Commerce Bank, you'll have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals and contribute to the growth and success of our private equity firm. We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $140,000 to $190,000 annually, as well as performance-based incentives and a comprehensive benefits program.
