Avera is excited to present an opportunity for a Patient Services Representative (PSR) who will serve as the initial point of contact for patient registration and scheduling.

Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative is responsible for greeting and registering patients for appointments, verifying insurance and demographic information, processing co-pays, answering phone inquiries, scheduling appointments, and communicating patient needs to other staff members. The PSR also rotates with the team to cover urgent care shifts during evenings and weekends. This role is crucial in creating a positive first impression for patients, whether in person or over the phone. The PSR must be friendly, efficient, and capable of multitasking. Accurate information gathered by the PSR is essential for the clinic's operations, billing processes, and electronic medical records.

Education and Experience Requirements:
+ High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
+ Experience in medical terminology and a Medical Assistant degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
+ Previous customer service or related experience is advantageous.

Work Schedule:
+ Monday - Friday; 80 hours per 2 weeks
+ Occasional weekend shifts

Urgent Care Rotation:
+ Monday - Friday, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm & Saturdays 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position is competitive and based on experience, starting at $22.00 per hour.
