Electrical Engineer II Job Description

Microsoft is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer II to join our Gaming Devices + Artificial Intelligence Engineering team. As an Electrical Engineer II, you will play a key role in designing, testing, and manufacturing high-performance gaming devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical subsystems for motherboards, including power delivery networks and thermal management systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize package, printed circuit board, and ASIC designs.
  • Develop and implement cost/performance tradeoffs for Direct Current (DC) converters.
  • Work with system-level simulation tools to analyze and optimize power integrity models.
  • Develop and implement electrical solutions for complex, integrated entertainment devices.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of technical engineering experience in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with power delivery networks, thermal management systems, and DC converters.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis and design.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
