Job Title: Professor of Occupational Therapy

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Occupational Therapy to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Professor of Occupational Therapy, you will be responsible for teaching, research, and service in occupational therapy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach occupational therapy courses at the graduate level, including student advisement and research mentorship.
  • Conduct research to enhance knowledge in occupational therapy, including designing and conducting research studies, acquiring grant funding, and disseminating findings.
  • Participate in service to the department, college, and university, including committee work and professional service in the field.
Requirements:
  • Earned research doctorate (PhD, ScD) in occupational therapy or a related field.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an occupational therapist in Virginia.
  • Established research agenda and clear potential for external funding for junior faculty members.
  • Well-developed scholarly/research portfolio for senior faculty members.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse environment for faculty, staff, and students.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching experience at the graduate level.
  • Record of external funding.
