Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for providing healthcare services, applying radionuclides to assist in diagnosis or treatment, and performing nuclear medicine procedures.


Responsibilities
  • Provides healthcare services, applying radionuclides to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
  • Performs nuclear medicine procedures and related techniques to produce images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
  • Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.
  • Performs procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist's expectations and protocols.
  • Displays knowledge and complies with National Patient Safety goals.
  • Supports and reports any identified compliance matters.
  • Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
  • Maintains professional development and education for technical competency.
  • Uses standard precautions and PPE at all times.
  • Maintains regulatory compliance and licensure for current position.
  • Attends all required educational programs and utilizes resources efficiently.
  • Demonstrates complete working knowledge of equipment within assigned area.
  • Knowledge and performance of Code of Conduct Standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

We require:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Possess and maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N), or Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) upon hire into position.
  • State of Kentucky License required.
  • BLS within 30 days of employment.
