Maritime Project Lead

Continental Tide Defense Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maritime Project Lead to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of shipboard HM&E or electronic system projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of shipboard HM&E or electronic system projects, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
- Technical Expertise: Apply in-depth working knowledge of power generation, power transmission, and auxiliary machinery systems to provide technical guidance and ensure project specifications are met.
- Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment. Provide mentorship and support to team members as needed.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to guarantee the delivery of high-quality ship systems.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and upcoming milestones.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in ship repair or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Site Foreman or similar role in AIT ship repair.
- Knowledge of shipboard systems and equipment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel and work in various locations as required.
- 5 to 7 years previous experience overseeing and directing 'Project-Level' initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead a fifteen (5) to (10) tradesperson Alteration Installation Team (AIT).
- Experience in directing daily production to attain schedule milestones.
- Knowledge of maintaining QAWB and OQE requirements.
- Experience communicating directly with management, subcontractors, and customers regarding project cost, staffing, and scheduling.
- Background in preparing status reports and ensuring plans adhere to contract specifications.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of ship alteration/installation processes and procedures.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Security Requirements:
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance to access military facilities, naval shipyards, private shipyards, and Naval installations.
- Due to export control regulations, this role is open to U.S. citizens only.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional Travel- up to 10% within and outside of the continental United States.
- If a position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs.
- Ability to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.
