Job Summary

Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission is seeking a highly skilled Medicaid Payment and Financing Senior Analyst to join our team. As a senior analyst, you will play a critical role in providing expert analysis and recommendations on Medicaid payment and financing policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of Medicaid payment and financing policies, including fee-for-service base and supplemental payments, managed care capitation rates, and directed payments.
  • Develop and execute research projects on Medicaid and CHIP topics, including policy analysis and data analysis.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, briefs, and other written products for MACPAC's products.
  • Communicate complex policy information to non-technical stakeholders, including congressional staff, stakeholders, and the public.
  • Represent MACPAC in meetings with congressional staff, stakeholders, and other organizations.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in health policy, health services research, public policy, public health, public administration, statistics, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in policy analysis or research, with expertise in Medicaid payment and financing policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify key themes, trends, and policy solutions.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex policy information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
