POSITION OVERVIEW
* Accountable for the maintenance and necessary preventative servicing of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, trucks, and/or other heavy machinery.
* Analyze work orders and technical documentation.
* Repair or substitute defective components, parts, or systems.
* Conduct performance tests on repaired machinery to confirm compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
* Consistent attendance is essential.
* Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on equipment as mandated by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company policies, and any other applicable Federal, State, or Local regulations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
* Must possess a CDL Class B or higher.
* Must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
* Must have 3-5 years of experience with diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
* Must be open to travel.
* Must provide personal tools.
* Physical activities include: walking, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing, etc.
* Must maintain a neat, orderly, and safe working environment.
* Should possess specific knowledge of heavy truck repairs in a commercial setting, including diagnostics of diesel engine systems to ensure equipment operates effectively.

PHYSICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Able to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods.
  • Must be capable of working outdoors, often in adverse weather conditions.
  • Competent in properly donning and doffing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to communicate verbally, hear, stand, walk, use hands, and maintain balance.
  • Ability to sustain awkward positions/postures.
