This is a part-time role within a healthcare facility (Preferred hours are from 2pm to 6pm).

Position Summary:

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for overseeing building operations, delivering customer service, and enhancing community relations. We seek an individual capable of executing or assisting with tasks related to electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, heating, and other trades within a healthcare or commercial environment. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with the property management team to conduct preventive maintenance, address service requests, and ensure a secure atmosphere for tenants and visitors.


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
  • Hourly wage ranging from $33 to $35
  • Uniforms and cell phone reimbursement available upon hiring

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct inspections of building systems, implementing necessary adjustments
  • Professionally complete preventive and corrective maintenance requests
  • Collaborate with vendors to fulfill contracted work orders to meet standards
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and evaluations, providing recommendations for essential building maintenance
  • Identify and assist in procuring parts, materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Manage the Building Management System (BMS) / Energy Management System (EMS) as directed by the Lead/Chief Engineer
  • Ensure cleanliness in the engineering shop, mechanical plant, mechanical rooms, and overall appearance
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
  • Perform related tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in maintaining equipment and systems in healthcare and/or commercial buildings
  • Demonstrated high-level mechanical skills and proficiency with HVAC systems
  • Extensive experience in operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment
  • Basic technological skills necessary for managing work order applications on mobile devices and learning to operate Building Automation Systems
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with effective communication skills in English
  • Willingness to occasionally work overtime for necessary repairs or maintenance
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting 50 lbs., walking distances, kneeling for extended periods, and climbing ladders
  • Reliable transportation is essential
  • Must pass a drug screening and background check
  • CFC Universal certification is required
