Job Summary

The BSA Compliance Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the Bank's compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related regulations. This position will be responsible for coordinating the development, implementation, and administration of the Bank's BSA Compliance Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze BSA/AML alerts and reports to identify potential compliance issues
  • Review and approve OFAC/Watch List alerts and reports
  • Perform ongoing monitoring of high-risk and medium-risk accounts
  • Establish enhanced due diligence and monitoring efforts for new customers identified as high and medium risk
  • Review and analyze CIP documentation for all new accounts
  • Stay current with changes in BSA regulations
  • Monitor email and extract data for compliance with the BSA, USA Patriot Act, and OFAC
  • Provide support to frontline teams
  • Perform CIP, CTR, and other audits related to BSA, AML, and OFAC
Requirements
  • Minimum of five (5) years banking experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Bank Secrecy Act experience
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and the Board of Directors
  • Good organizational skills, strong judgment, and excellent time management
  • Strong writing, word processing, and spreadsheet analysis skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
