Job Summary

We are seeking a per diem Licensed Nursing Assistant/Hospital Unit Coordinator (LNA/HUC) to join our team in the Center for Pain Management department.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient assessment and care provision under the direction of the Registered Nurse

Key responsibilities include:

  • Measuring and recording patient information, including height, weight, and vital signs
  • Specimen management, including obtaining, preparing, and preserving specimens for laboratory tests
  • Observing and reporting patient responses to care provided
  • Identifying and reporting deviations in vital signs or patient observations to the Registered Nurse
  • Performing bedside lab testing and preparing treatment rooms for each patient

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assisting patients with bedpans, urinals, and commodes
  • Managing external devices exiting the body
  • Transporting patients from one location to another
  • Assisting in promoting patient safety and environmental cleanliness
