About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Services Director to join our team at Wellpath. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing and managing general medical care for our facility, ensuring that medical assessments and care are performed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage general medical care for the facility
  • Provide individualized assessment and treatment tailored to the developmental needs of each individual served
  • Routinely review and coordinate treatment planning for individuals requiring ongoing medical and consultative services
  • Participate in utilization management initiatives, ensuring compliance with the pharmaceutical formulary and consultative referral processes
  • Coordinate with the Administrator to designate continuing care facilities and specialty physicians, and may perform minor surgical procedures
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited university
  • Experience: Two (2) years' experience providing medical care
  • Licenses/Certifications: Licensed to practice in state of employment, Board certified or eligible in family medicine or other primary care specialty, DEA licensure
