The Senior Room Quality Supervisor plays a crucial role in providing outstanding customer service, positively influencing interactions with guests and colleagues, and demonstrating resilience in challenging situations. This position involves inspecting guest rooms for cleanliness and quality, ensuring that Boyd Gaming standards are consistently met or surpassed.
The Senior Room Quality Supervisor is responsible for reporting rooms that are ready for occupancy.
Ensures that guest rooms, linens, service areas, and equipment are organized in accordance with current Boyd Gaming Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Identifies and reports deficiencies in rooms and common areas, addressing structural, equipment, and plumbing issues with the Engineering team, and preparing maintenance work orders while following up on their completion.
This includes ensuring that chemicals are used in designated areas, are correctly labeled, stored appropriately, and that safety gear is utilized.
Maintains accurate hotel room status in the computer system and on physical boards.Qualifications:
Demonstrated understanding of housekeeping and hotel department policies and procedures.
Ability to learn and implement detailed inspection protocols.
Proven capability to empower and coach team members effectively.
Basic knowledge of computer systems, QWERTY keyboard usage, and office phone operations is preferred.
Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload.
Must be able to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications as per regulatory requirements.
Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
A minimum of one year of experience in housekeeping within a hotel, motel, or inn setting is required, with recent experience preferred. Leadership and quality control experience are essential.
These skills and qualifications are typically acquired through the completion of a high school education or equivalent, along with at least one year of leadership or hospitality experience.
